Just downloaded the paid version: playback error when I try to cast anything.

As mentioned in the title I just bought the paid version. I'm using Android, a Samsung S4. The app is up to date and I've tried restarting the phone. I'm not really sure what else to do.

All the podcasts play just fine from my device. I can cast from other apps like YouTube too.

Is this a known issue, and if so how do I fix it?

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

The episodes you play must be available online from the original feed. Chromecast will not play local content from your phone.

Have you tried rebooting the Chromecast?

How far do you get? When you connect BP to the Chromecast, do you see BeyondPod Coffee Cup on your TV?
If you disconnect and reconnect, does that make a difference?
