No longer able to find Chromcasts

After upgrade to latest version, which claims to be compliant with the Chromecast SDK, BP can't find my Chromecast. No Cast icon appears after multiple app restarts and a phone restart.

Other Chromecast-ready apps are working just fine.

Evo 4g running Gingerbread.

Running latest Chromecast firmware as of this post date (16041).

Please fix.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

ChromeCast relies (because Google require it) on the updated Google Play Services (4.2.43), which you should have received by now. You can check which version of play services you have by going to Apps / Manage Apps in you system settings, and choosing All.

And of course, your device has to be on the same WiFi network as your ChromeCasts to able to see them. (I've been caught out myself when I've forgotten that I was connected to a hotspot instead of my home WiFi.)
