Cannot get episodesync to work

I have an s4 and a note 2014 I have the latest versions both unlocked and I have backed up syncs from one and restored on the other so they both have the same podcasts. I have set both to episodesync and logged in on both devices

But no syncing happens.
If I read or delete and episode on one it does not sync through to the other.

any ideas? I've not found much in the forums to help

Sorry we missed this one.

First be sure that both devices have the option 'When Episodes are deleted ...' checked on the Configure Episode screen

If that is already the case please send us the sync log from both devices.

To do this- menu>more>settings>menu>view logs>view sync log then tap menu>email support

Hi Tim,

So an update and perhaps it is my misunderstanding.
Episodes actually seem to sync, if I leave one half played on my phone then it is the same on my tablet. But non media feeds don't mark read if I read them on one device. Does the sync only work with video/audio podcasts?

Good question, but it's really aimed at podcast playing rather than text only feeds, so I wouldn't be surprised. I'll check.

Just checked, and, as the name suggests, it's only designed to work with playable episodes, and not with text-only feeds.

You could, however, sync your text feeds using Feedly.
