I would love a native client as well.
Work is well underway on a Windows 8 Phone version of BeyondPod. Once that's up and running and stable, the next stage will be to convert it for Windows 8 Tablets. (Unlike Android and iOS, Windows Phone and Windows Tablet cannot run the same applications, but Windows 8 Tablet applications will also run on Windows 8 PCs.) So it's likely that there will be a Windows 8 desktop client - but probably not one for Windows 7 and earlier.

Running BeyondPod in BlueStacks is pretty ugly solution, but it's better than nothing![]()
The rest of this discussion (regarding development of a 3rd party desktop client) has been moved to the Developer forum:

StefanK. I can't post a reply to where the post has been moved to.

To answer your question. I glanced at the API for gpodder. There was a python library already written for gpodder, so I'd have to write a php library. I think using the gpodder api & services is a good direction to go in.
Hows this coming along? by when is it possible to run it on Windows? I have Windows 8.1 so, I am willing to even beta test if required.
It's getting there, but there's still a bit more work to do before it's ready for beta testing.
Thanks for the offer though - noted.

Hi there,
How bout Chrome (browser) support instead. That way you shouldnt need to port it to multiple devices/os's.
