    insuficient storage space exception

    Hi,

    I've recently upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S4, all the podcast have been automatically downloading to the internal card and everything was great, unfortunately when I moved this folder to the external card (64Gb card) I keep getting the following error message when downloading my feeds:

    Reason to fail: IssuficientStorageSpaceException Insuficient disk space to complete the download! Requirded: 44Mb.

    I have 20Gb free in the external sd card and 7Gb free in the internal one.

    Is this an issue with the 64Gb card? Samsung MB-MGCGB - micro SDXI 64 GB (Clase 10)

    You're not using the Google Edition are you? Write access to external storage has been disabled in 4.3 on the S4 Google Edition (but it's so far proved impossible to get the information from Google about whether this is by design or it's an oversight).

    No, not the Google Edition.

    Somehow now it seems to be working 80% the time...

    I have a nexus 7 (2013 edition) and am unable to download any podcasts due to this same error message. I assume that there is no way round this?

    @filz How much free space does your N7 report that it has?
    And what does the update log say??
    What path does BeyondPod say it's downloading to? (Menu | More... | Settings | General)

    Can you download ANYTHING (e.g. a PDF from a website)

    Well of course it is now all working fine - don't think I did anything but when I checked a day later all my podcasts had downloaded!

    I suppose it's possible that there was a glitch in one of your episodes that made it appear to be too huge a file to download (and was therefore blocking everything behind it in teh download queue). If the publisher noticed it (or had it reported) and fixed it, that would tie in with what you experienced.

    Of course, this is all pure conjecture.

    Later in the error log, under environment info, BeyondPod shows 27.55 GB free in the location that BP plans to use.

    Same here. Never had this problem in years. Android 4.3, neither internal not external are full and moving BP folder doesn't fix the problem. All other apps can download fine. And the suggestion above about the feeds reporting the size wrong also does not apply to my problem as downloading them with chrome and checking the file size shows that the size BP reports IS correct. Problems began when I updated to BP BETA FOR PHONES subversion .51 from BETA PHONE .50. Clearing cache, data, uninstalling and reinstalling had no effect as the data on the card loaded right back up. But when I finally gave up and went back to beta .50 I was able to finish most downloads, but out of five feeds that were a week behind in episode downloads I had about 6 failed. When I retried them manually, I was finally able to get them. I have NEVER had a problem and I really don't want to start. If you need logcats or anything else LMK. I also emailed support.
