    feedsportal ads

Is there any to stop feedsportal ads in my RSS feeds in beyondpod pro. Adblock plus does not work and the ads are using location or IP to target ads. I don't know if it is using data from the app.

This seems new to me, I don't remember this when Google reader was the RSS base instead of feedy.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

This is not something I've ever come across. Are the affected feeds Text feeds or Media feeds? Could you give an example URL where you see the issue?

This may or may not apply, but apps in the Play Store are subject to terms which say they are not allowed to block others' ads.

Also, BeyondPod simply reflects what it finds in a feed without any attempt to strip anything out (except html tags for brief episode notes). You may need to address your request to Feedly.

But bear in mind that adverts are a way for people provide content without having to charge you for it, so you may find some resistance to removing the adverts that fund your content.

Well I swear I have see them on other RSS feeds but I see them all the time on the Reuters top news feed (http://feeds.reuters.com/~r/reuters/...VE/story01.htm ) and on the CNET feed ( http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/cnet/...3/Qcn3mylFZFk/ ). Both were added from the beyondpod RSS list. I think adblock is getting some of them but not all.

It is the summary text pages (with just the headline and a line or two). It is before I used the browser link.

    Thanks for the help.

P.s. I am using the BETA if it changes anything.

Thanks, but those URLs are for web pages, not the RSS feed that you're subscribed to in BeyondPod.

You can find those by editing the feed. The URL is in the first box.

    Sorry,
    Here are the rss feeds:
    for Reuters:
    http://feeds.reuters.com/reuters/topNews

    For CNET:
    feeds.feedburner.com/cnet/NnTv?tag=aboutCNET;rss

    Here are two screen shots:

BeyondPod just displays the feeds from the link without intefering with them.

You could use the internet (world) icon to view the link in your browser instead (which may allow Adblock to work better - I have no idea how it works). Adblock may or may not have a list of URLs that it will block ads from, so adding that URL (or rather, its parent) to its list may help (depending at which point Adblock intercepts the ads).
