    Yes, the player notification behavior has been long overdue for fixing (it was "stuck" the way the notifications were done in the past).

    We had a small dependency on the Chromecast implementation that needed to be updated first. This is now taken care of so in the next Beta the player notification should behave as needed - show only if app is in the background and not show when paused (unless you explicitly check "keep paused notification" which some people prefer).

    I too would like to request a way to exit the new version. This was easy in the old version. I need a way to prevent BeyondPod from starting to play whenever my car starts. Better that it should remember its previous state, but maybe that violates some guideline. Turning off Bluetooth is not a good solution because I am still using it.

    Try swiping it away from the recent apps list.
