Add more episodes than the default number

    Dear All,

I’m looking the way to increase the downloaded episodes of “ll sole 24 ore podcast” from the default n. 5 to more. I’ve noticed that using IE10 feed support is possible to increase that number. If you point to http://www.radio24.ilsole24ore.com/p...smart-city.xml and than select “See all items” more podcasts appear.
The link to add more podcast is http://www.radio24.ilsole24ore.com/p...mart-city.xml# with the “#” added at the end of the feed link, however if I add that char in the feed link of beyondpod FEED URL app , nothing happen, I means always 5 episodes are loaded. Of course I’ve already increase the Max number of Episodes to 20 but seams that this is not enough

    Thank for any help
    Paolo

Greetings and welcome to the forum.

There isn't a default # to show, BeyondPod always displays the exact # of podcasts the publisher puts in their feed. If they put 100, we show 100, and in this case the feed has 5 so we show only the 5.

You can confirm this by looking at their feed on Itunes here- https://itunes.apple.com/it/podcast/...ui/id463313599

That said you can often view old feed items by syncing the feed with Feedly (Edit Feed>Sync with Feedly). Even tho the publisher may have removed them from their feed Feedly often archives old feed items so you can see them in their archive.

More in Help in BeyondPod app or on the web here- http://www.beyondpod.mobi/android/help/Feedly.htm

    Dear Tim

I was able to use the Feedly feature of BeyonPod even if is not clear for me how it works. I have some doubt about it: first it is necessary to create an account, and I don't understand why. Using Internet Explorer 10, but also using a TuneIn app (a radio straming app that now can be used also to play podcasts), it's not necessary any additional feature or account. Second Feedy config is required to be set to each feed, seams is not possible a global setting. Probably I didn't understand the mean if Feedy feature.

    Thank for your support

    Best Regard
    Paolo

Sorry I don't follow you exactly but any source that is showing more than 5 podcasts is accessing something other than their current feed (as Feedly does).

If you look at their feed on Itunes or the source code of it and you'll see that there are exactly 5 items in their feed.

Basically BeyondPod gives you both options - 1) to view the current feed as the publisher intends (in this case the 5 most recent) OR 2) the option of viewing more via a backend database (Feedly).

Thank you for your tip about Feedly! It solved my problem with getting old episodes of TWIT, Windows Weekly.
