Paused podcasts resume rabbity-fast when headphones re-attached

Most of my listening is with bluetooth headphones, and I often leave a podcast paused.
When I turn on the headphones and start the player again, the playing speed is way way too fast.
If I stop play, exit out and re-enter it always works fine.
I turned off the "Enable speed adjustment" and that seemed to reduce the frequency of the problem from always to rarely.

It happens with other plug headphones as well.
    Google Play runs just fine.

    Running Android 4.4.2 on a Galaxy S3.

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

I haven't seen anybody else report this, so it may be something specific to your setup.

As a first question, could you check whether or not you have the Presto Sound Library app is installed on your phone? If it is, please disable it (or preferably uninstall it if you don't need it for anything else). BeyondPod no longer needs it for speed adjustment, and its own speed adjustment is generally more robust.

If not, then we'll need to get some logs to try to determine what's causing this in your case.

    Nope, no Presto.

Sorry to be slow, but I can't find the logs.

    Your instructions are:
    To do this:
Menu | More... | Settings | Menu (again) | View Logs
    Choose Android log
    From menu choose email support.

But when I choose More... | Settings, my options are General settings, player settings, playlist and widget settings, feed content settings, feed update settings, feed defaults, backup and restore, and configure episode sync.

Whoops. Okay, I figured out how to find the logs. I've emailed the log right after the Naked Scientists went rabbity on me.
It seems to happen most often after pausing for at least a couple of minutes.

I've emailed two logs. Were you able to find anything?
