    SSL Problem

I listen to this podcast, but it no longer downloads in BeyondPod. It fails with an ssl error:

hostname in certificate didn't match != OR OR
When I try to refresh the podcast individually there is more information, and those ORs reference values like avpodcast.co.uk and avforums.com

This is weird because if I look at the certificate manually it seems fine, and they contain no mention of avforums.com

I notice they updated their certificate 24/09/2014, and the last podcast that successfully downloaded was probably from before then (I've lost the list of downloaded podcasts, so can't say for sure).

It looks to me like BeyondPod isn't using the new certificate.

UPDATE: I've installed the beta. It has the same issue. Thanks for your help.

I am having a similar problem with this podcast. I'm trying to dig into it, but I don't know enough about SSL to really know. How do you check the certificate to look for the error?

What appears to be happening is the https://www.avpodcast.co.uk domain has an internal forward setup. This forward redirects HTTP traffic from https://www.avpodcast.co.uk to https://www.avforums.com and this is confusing Android. You may need to contact the publisher to remove the redirect or setup the podcast under the avsforums domain.

I've experienced this problem too. I'm not techy enough to fix it so I've been waiting for a possible solution. Thankfully, I've finally resolved it and I'm glad for the clarification.
