Question Installing Chrome OS Version in the Chrome Version

I' ve been tried to install the Beyondpod BETA Chrome OS version into a normal Chrome browser but no success. I've downloaded the CRX file from this forum, and try to install from the extension page of the browser but nothing happend. I'm not facing any kind of error but no message at all. When I drag the CRX file into the browser a installer popup showed up. I acepted the installer popup but nothing happened, the extension is not installed.

Is any procedure to really install the Chrome OS version on Chrome? I really want to try this Chrome version because I always want a PC version to listen my podcast and to be able to sync with my Android device.

    Please, any help?

    Thanks in advance,

Have you installed the App Runtime for Chrome or ARChon? You need a runtime for the extension to work:
    App Runtime for Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...ifdjdjcckigekc
    ARChon: https://github.com/vladikoff/chromeo...ster/archon.md

I'll add that ARC Welder also provides the necessary runtime to get the Chrome OS version to work.

I was able to get the extension to install, but when I open it, it just hangs at the main screen. I have installed ARCWelder (which installs the ARC environment). I downloaded the BeyondPod crx extension via your website.

I can get it to work if I manually load the beyondpod APK via ARCWelder, but not via the CRX.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks - Jeremy

The extension won't work anymore due to some policy changes at Google. You can read about it here. From now on, you'll have to use the APK file until BeyondPod becomes compatible with Chrome on any system.

That's what I wound up doing. Works like a charm! I've been waiting for this feature for a long time now. I'm thrilled it is finally available!
