    Version 4 is GARBAGE!

After making the mistake of updating to 4.whatever... I quickly realized how inferior it was to the previous version.

After spending over an hour redownloading v3, resubscribing to all of my podcasts, and reconfiguring my settings... Your cancerous v4 decides to redownload itself without my permission, while undoing everything i did last night.

I am open to suggestions for a new podcast app. Based on the email i got a few days ago, you guys dont even read your help/feedback messages.

You have to turn off automatic updates in Google Play if you don't want automatic updates. It's not something that BeyondPod has any control over.

Sorry you don't like it. However, instructions for reinstalling v3 without losing your settings are available at http://www.beyondpod.com/cms/index.p...rom-3-x-to-4-x

And as appel says, you have control over whether you let Google Play automatically apply updates from any app. Here's just one of many articles on how to do it: http://www.howtogeek.com/202297/how-...es-in-android/

Julie - the instructions do not work to reinstall v3 (as per http://www.beyondpod.com/cms/index.p...-from-v4-to-v3)

It may be specific to Samsung devices. See my responses in your other thread.

I'm afraid you have given it permission via the Play Store.

If you have your Play Store general settings set to automatically update all your apps, it will automatically update them. To disable this for a specific app, select the app in the Play Store, tap on the three dots menu, and untick Auto-update.

You shouldn't have to reconfigure all your podcasts, etc. after reinstalling v3. Use the BeyondPod Backup mechanism before you start, and use the Restore mechanism once you've reinstalled v3. The process is the same as moving to another device, and you'll find help on that at How to move BeyondPod to a new device.
