4.2.19 a disastrous release. Let me count the ways

    1) dark theme does not seem to be consistently dark.
(lists of feeds, feed settings, and more)
    2) it lost advanced playback settings for speed and volume adjustment
    3) it trashed my Playlist
    4) it forgot that data was previously stored on the physical SD card.

And I am not rooted so I can't resort to a Titanium Backup restore. I tried exporting the 4.2.18 APK from my tablet. But regrettably, when I try installing 4.2.18 over 4.2.19, Android installer refuses claiming it's corrupted. (Undoubtedly it's a conflicting signature.)

    More issues

    Here's my list:
    - Clicking play on an episode from a category listing ("What to Play" for example) dumps every episode from that category into the playlist.
    - Episode sync isn't working.
    - Cannot see the notification area on my phone when the app is open.

This is occurring on both of my devices - one of which is Android 5 and the other is Android 6.

Fortunately it hasn't trashed my database.

Try uninstalling 4.2.19 before installing 4.2.18; that worked for me.

I just spent an hour re-doing everything to revert back to 4.2.18. I still have to adjust all the volume boost settings that were wiped out by this update. What a mess.

I tried the installing the non-beta version to get something that isn't awful, and the themes were still messed up.

Yeah, 4.2.19 is a total disaster, on top of the things already mentioned, new episodes were not getting automatically added to smartplay.

Have also reverted to 4.2.18 until this mess is sorted - this wasn't a beta, more like an alpha.

Database does not seem to be crashed.

ac1 how much work did you have to do before it was back to your normal settings after uninstalling/reinstalling? Did it remember any settings, or take your backup well?
