Thread: Auto-backup

    Arrow Auto-backup

[copying from the other thread, I think it belongs here.]

In light of the disastrous v4.2.19 beta release, perhaps BP can look into adding an auto-backup feature. Take a daily backup and refresh it daily (so we don't end up with hundreds of backups). But when a new version is installed, create a new backup file instead of refreshing the existing one. It should be easily doable if the auto-backup file name include the version number instead of date

I will pass along this suggestion for you to be discussed by the BP team.

Perhaps a backup before an automatic update? Keep 24 hours worth just in case?

Yes, a reliable, at least semi-automated backup solution is no luxury in 2018.
