Beta version 4.2.30 constantly reporting battery drain in Oreo

My phone (Samsung Galaxy S8) got upgraded to Oreo a few days ago. Since then, I have a constant notification which says "BeyondPod: Preparing for download..." which does not ever go away. The OS is also reporting that BeyondPod is causing excessive battery drain.

BeyondPod itself doesn't appear to be broken at all as far as I can tell, outside of the weird notifications and perhaps the power use. Podcasts are downloading on schedule, it plays fine, etc.

Interestingly, I see on the changelog for 4.2.30 "Fixed stuck 'Loading feeds' notification on Oreo". Looks like we traded one stuck notification for another.

I've got the same stuck notification. It appears when a scheduled feed update happens, and I can only get it to go away via Force Close or manually updating.

I got a PM from one of the mods after posting this asking for logs, which I sent. There was a new version a few weeks ago but it still didn't fix it. I'm on 4.2.32 now and it's still doing this.

Oh, I see the post here indicating that they're still working on it.
