That doesn't look like a valid feed URL. Has it ever worked?

I'm also finding that a lot of episodes will appear to download, but then show up without a running time and are not playable. Could this be related?
Don't know. What does the update log say when they don't download?

Is it possible that any of these are Blip.TV feeds? If so, they've restricted access to their podcasts. See the Blip.TV thread for a workaround.

I too have this problem and it is not restricted to Blip.TV feeds

Meanwhile, until the problem is fixed, is there a way to cause the download of all episodes ready for download, without clicking "download" on each episiode in each feed?

If not, perhaps this would be a good feature to add.

I started having this problem in the last month. My logs look exactly the same. Did anyone ever figure out why new episodes are not being downloaded automatically for some feeds?

Which feed(s) is affected? What does the update log actually say? (Could you paste it here please?)
Without responses to the questions we asked to try to troubleshoot, I'm afraid it's difficult to say what the issue is.

    Hi Julie.

I'd paste the log but I already manually downloaded and the log seems to have been overwritten. I'll post it tomorrow.

The feed with this problem is the following:

    http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/.../today/rss.xml

It had been working correctly for quite a while until recently.

I've just just subscribed, without a problem, so the feed's OK.

What settings do you have for the feed?
Download Latest Episodes / Manually Download Episodes / Download in Order / Ignore all episodes? And how many is it set to download (the default is 3).

In Automatic Cleanup for the feed, how many local episodes is it allowed to keep (the default is 50) and how many do you actually have on your device, and how old are episodes allowed to get before they're deleted? (The default is 99999 days.)

    Julie

P.S. You can keep up to 10 update log files by switching on Enhanced Logging in the Advanced Settings (Menu | More... | Settings | Menu (again) | Advanced Settings | Enable Logging (near the bottom).

    Hi Julie.

All my settings are default except for Download Max = 5. Download Latest Episodes is enabled. I almost always have 0 downloaded episodes at sync time. When I long-click and select Update Feed, it shows 4 new episodes are available, but it won't download them automatically.

Before I manually download each episode individually, the log shows this:

    Completed - Best of Today

    Url: http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/.../today/rss.xml
    Downloaded: 33424, starting at position: 0 took: 758 mSec. at 43.06 KB/Sec
Content Size: 33424. Cache Size: 39724
Content Date: Thu Jul 11 09:00:09 EST 2013. Cache Date: Thu Jul 11 06:47:58 EST 2013
Feed has Image: Yes, image downloaded: Yes
    Content Compression: Not Compressed
After I manually download each new episode, the log looks like:

Completed - Today 11/07/13: Business news with Simon Jack

    Url: http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/...0711-0708a.mp3
    Downloaded: 5648631, starting at position: 0 took: 14 sec. at 373.40 KB/Sec
Content Size: 5648631. Cache Size: Not Set
Content Date: Thu Jul 11 02:18:58 EST 2013. Cache Date: Not Set
Feed has Image: Yes, image downloaded: Yes
    Content Compression: Not Compressed

    .
This is the only feed that behaves like this.
