    short question. Will you bring support for OPUS Audio Codec?

    Do you know any podcasts that are published in Opus format? If so, and enough people are interested, we will consider it for a future version.

    Actually, thinking about it, BeyondPod doesn't have its own player - it simply instruct the built-in player to play them. So if that supports the Opus format, so will BP.

    some german podcasts use the new service from https://auphonic.com/ to create a alternative feed with opus.
    i think it can be the great next think after mp3 and mp4a. but actual its mostly availbale on desktop computer.
    so i think it can be that google bring the functionality to his api with android 4.2 ... we will see

    As I said before, Beyondpod doesn't have its own player. It relies on the media player that comes with your device (or an external third party one if you tell it to use one). BP just instructs the player to play the file, so it doesn't care what format the podcast file is in. It's down to whatever player you use (built in or external) to support the audio file format.
