    Forum Discussion

StefanK, thanks for setting up some full fledged forums my man. I know it can be hectic running these things, I'm the owner of Soulhamsters.com and have administrated a few other forums in the past.

    Never easy, always drama.

Indeed. Much better to have a proper forum.
One question: How do I automatically subscribe to threads I post in? I couldn't find an option for it in the settings.

    Thanks

It's here, under Messaging & Notification.

    Forum name suggestion

One suggestion though: I read "New User Forum" as "New User-Forum", rather than "New-User Forum". How about calling it "New Users Start Here" or something similar (and specifically, remove the word "forum" altogether)?

I find that a bit confusing as well.
    My own suggestions for forums:

    1. Announcements (with 3.0 beta announcement here)
    2. Getting Started
    3. BeyondPod Discussion
    4. Feature Requests
    5. BeyondPod Bugs
    6. Misc Discussion
    Hope that helps,
    John

    New forum issues?

I've been having some problems with the new forum - is it just me? I don't seem to stay logged in, and when I do log in, I always get "Invalid redirect URL (http://www.beyondpod.com/forum)" after I do. (Maybe it's actually beyondpod.mobi?). Not sure why. I seem to stay logged in to other stuff just fine, I just get logged out randomly.

Working fine here, both full site and mobile site, http://www.beyondpod.com/forum/

Oh, crazy, I kinda think the front page is cached or something, because without logging in, I clicked into this thread and now I'm logged in. The "non-logged-in" version of the page must be cached. Problem solved, completely inadvertently. Probably the same reason for the invalid redirect.

Actually the invalid redirect was a bug and by bug I mean configuration error It was on the 'punch out' list and bubbled up to the top when someone else actually saw it.
