How does Last.fm sync work with Beyondpod?

Running BeyondPod 3.0.37 on a Samsung Galaxy S3 with Android 4.1.2 rooted.

How do I get playing podcasts to sync to the Last.FM service?

Currently I have the following apps installed on my device:

Scrobble Droid: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...roid.scrobbler

Last.fm Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...m.last.android

Simple Last.fm Scrobbler: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...om.adam.aslfms

None of them detect that I'm playing anything with BeyondPod...?


Any tips?

I don't use any of those services or apps (apart from BeyondPod), but BP does have a Advanced setting that enables it to Scrobble Episodes if you have Scrobble Droid installed - as you do. You'll find it via Menu | More ... | Settings | Menu (again) | Advanced settings.

Has this suddenly disappeared? Beyondpod stopped sending info to Scrobble Droid and I can't find where to re-enable

Is Scrobble Droid still working from any other app on your device, such as the music player? (i.e. is this a Scrobble Droid / Last.fm issue, or a BeyondPod issue?)

I note that the Scrobble Droid app was last updated in March 2011, to fix a Gingerbread problem, so it's possible that it's not playing nicely on ICS or JB.

And (just for completeness) have you enabled Scrobbling in BeyondPod's advanced Settings?

Hi Julie, I've ditched Scrobble Droid and BeyondPod is now automatically being scrobbled with the official last.fm app.

However I still can't see the 'Enable Scrobbling' option on the Advanced Settings menu (currently on 3.1.46). Am I going crazy or has it disappeared?

Glad to hear it's working.
The wording for the option changed in 3.1.46. It's now "Publish Current Episode" (and typos in the explanation have already been noted )
Menu | More... | Settings | Menu (again) | Advanced Settings | Publish Current Episode.
